External spaces include a formal drive and entry into a drop off courtyard to serve the Hotel, Spa and Ballroom with formal tree and hedge planting and dramatic fire bowls to create a sense of drama. The formal landscape design continues through intimate courtyards and roof terrace gardens within the hotel, graduating to a more informal landscape treatment to guest rooms and public areas at the beach frontage.

The planting concept follows a three stage transition from the formal gardens with clipped hedges and tall palms to hotel façade and porte cochere courtyard, to the semi formal within the body of the hotel with intimate planting of mixed species, climbers, informal pots and contrast with avenue planting and hedges through to the informal beach landscape with clusters of coconut palms and swathes of beach grasses.
