Design for a private day nursery located in Jumeirah Village, Dubai. The project will be LEED Gold Certified and is the first of its kind for an education facility.

The nursery garden is conceived for the children as a journey through water to discover islands. There are two boats that convey this journey, both with a variety of play facilities, the smaller boat is ‘beached’ in a sand play area with a mounded island that separates the dry play from the outdoor water play.

The water play comprises a variety of jets and play items that spray fine mists and water jets onto the play area. The water play is sequenced for use at designated times during the day and also programmed to ensure that not all jets are operating at the same time to conserve water use.
