VERO were commissioned to prepare design proposals for a new primary school in Dubai. The facility covers FS to KS1 Curriculum with children from 4 to 10 years of age on a mixed-use site.

The play area concept uses a desert theme with organic shapes and patterns flowing through from the exterior entry plaza and into the two main ground level courtyards.

Both courtyards contain play items which are orientated towards the British Curriculum with play spaces generally themed under science, construction, maths and drama or performance. The FS courtyard contains an interactive water play items with water channels, sluices and archimedial screw. Designated reading areas are provided as well as floor markings for numbers, measuring and counting.
