Vero were appointed to design a five star beach front hotel located on the world famous JBR in Dubai. The landscape concept design for the hotel comprised a large beach fronting pool podium, pedestrian walk linking Jumeirah Walk with the beach and a redesign of the existing Al Fattan Plaza.

The design for the hotel is formal in nature and reflects the ‘Crystaline’ concept of the architecture, with strong diagonal forms extended from the atrium interior walls out onto the pool terrace.

The client brief required the incorporation of a function terrace that could be segregated from beach club hotel guests without impact on the open design or loss of lounger terrace. Vero’s response was to incorporate an infinity edge overflow within the main pool and set a terrace at the lower level with beach views to create a subtle separation between the two spaces.
